About The Duke MGI

The Duke MBA Gateway Initiative (The Duke MGI) was launched in 2009 with a mission to help small and mid-sized organizations in North Carolina connect with the rich MBA-talent available at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Our goal was three-fold:

Develop and cultivate new corporate partnerships that allow Fuqua to:

1) Create meaningful  internship and project experiences for Fuqua students and recent graduates

2) Strengthen relationships with key organizations that result in mutually beneficial strategic collaborations

3) Enhance its contributions to North Carolina’s workforce, education, research, and management innovation needs

In its inaugural year, the program resonated extremely well both with employers and students and generated a very strong number of corporate partnerships and project opportunities.

Moving forward, The Duke MGI team will build upon this inaugural success and continue to grow the program in a number of areas including student participation, employer diversity, and geographic expansion.
